SUCCESSFUL CONSULTANTS

2. April 2006, 20:07 | by WD Milner | Full Article |

Businesses of all sizes and types fail every year. It would be nice to be able to predict who will be successful, who clients will seek out and invest with and recommend to friends, who will still be around when the others have gone. Unfortunately clairvoyance is a chancey thing. The following characteristics tend to be common amongst successful people and their businesses.

  • Constant setting of higher goals. Once one is acheived, a new higher one is chosen.
  • Languishing in “comfort zones” is avoided, as in business standing still usually means going backward
  • The drive to succeed is accomplishments not money.
  • Focus is on solving problems rather than wasting time and resoruces fixing blame.
  • Close consideration is always given the worst possible scenario to be able to make an informed, practical decision on reasonable risk-taking.
  • A vision of the future is the planned course and motion is always forward towards the mental visualization.

How many of the above reflect you, your practice, office, firm or organization?
