SOMETHING SINFUL

30. November 2010, 19:43 | by WD Milner | Full Article |

If you're looking for something salacious (based on the article title) I’m sorry to disappoint you. The article title is the name of a drink / cocktail I created quite a few years ago (1997). The name is something of a private joke but is not otherwise related to sin (unless you happen to be one of those folks who regard alcohol consumption as sinful). I have had several people ask for the recipe so I decided to post it here. The recipe is fairly simple, like most good mixed drinks. Please share it with your friends just provide me due credit.

In an Old Fashioned glass or Brandy snifter, pour 1 ounce of chilled Vodka (or white / light Rum). Slowly add 1 ounce of DiSarono and 1 ounce of Grand Marnier. Do not stir, let the liquors mix naturally.

If you do not chill the Vodka, you may use (though it is not recommended) one medium or two small ice cubes. More than that dilutes the flavour too much - though this can be a matter of taste. Substituting Gin for the Vodka is not recommended as most Gins have a flavour that tends to intrude too much into the mix.

There you have it; Something Sinful to enjoy at leisure. Please remember to drink responsibly.
